The Orient Express was a long-distance passenger train service created in 1883 by Compagnie Internationale des Wagons-Lits (CIWL). The Venice Simplon-Orient-Express epitomises the glamour and elegance of the Golden Age of travel.

In 1982, the Venice-Simplon Orient Express was established as a private venture, running restored 1920s and 1930s carriages from London to Venice, and it continues to run today. It is the most storied set of carriages in the world. It promises to take you not just across Europe, but to transport you back in time with its polished wood, sumptuous upholstery and antique fixtures.
